How to use VLESS in Hiddify: link and subscription
A practical guide to importing VLESS into Hiddify, the difference between a single link and a subscription, and why Smart profiles simplify updates.
Hiddify can import network profiles from a URL. For VLESS, users may receive either a single vless:// configuration or an HTTP/HTTPS subscription containing multiple servers and routing rules.
When a Smart subscription is available, it is usually the more convenient option. One URL can provide current VLESS nodes, route selection and additional policies without adding each server manually.
After importing a profile, refresh it in Hiddify periodically. This matters when the service changes available nodes, adds regions or updates user-specific split-tunneling exceptions.
A single VLESS link remains useful as a compatibility option for clients that do not understand the Smart subscription format, but it may require more manual maintenance.
Treat subscription URLs and VLESS configurations as private access credentials. Do not publish them. If a link is exposed, rotate or revoke it from the service account.
