VLESS VPN: what VLESS is and how it is used
VLESS explained without confusion: a protocol used by compatible clients inside VPN-style connections together with TLS, REALITY and other transports.
VLESS is often described as “VLESS VPN”, although VLESS itself is not a standalone VPN application. It is a protocol used by compatible network clients to establish a connection to server infrastructure.
In a typical setup, a user installs a compatible client, imports a VLESS link or subscription, and enables the connection. The client handles the local tunnel, DNS and traffic routing according to the configuration.
VLESS can be combined with different transports and connection-protection mechanisms. As a result, two links that both start with vless:// can still have very different parameters.
A subscription is usually more convenient than a single VLESS link when a service provides multiple servers or updates routes over time. The client can refresh the subscription instead of adding each server manually.
VALNEXA provides VLESS configurations for compatible clients and combines them with device management, regional nodes, Smart profiles and routing policies.
